community life

Joining a group within Community Life will help you connect with others (gather), change to be more like Christ (grow), and cultivate a heart for others (go).

  • Life groups

Life Groups move people from the Sunday morning teaching and worship environment to meeting in a small group in a member's home for fellowship, prayer, and study. The essential task of a Life Group is to know one another by asking what God is doing in and through them each week.  We strive to apply Biblical truths to our daily lives, serve as a group, and support and encourage each other through prayer.

Many of our life groups are on a summer schedule, meeting less frequently and mainly for social events.  This can be a great time to meet the group in a relaxed setting. Read about the groups, find a group to join, and email the leader by clicking HERE or email lifegroups@burkecommunity.com

Mark your calendars for Linked-In Life Groups on Sunday, September 17th.  Life Group leaders will be in the main lobby to answer questions and to invite people to join their group.  More information will be available in the weeks leading up to the event.  Email BCCLifeGroups@burkecommunity.com for more information.

  • Quick connect

Quick Connect groups meet for 8 sessions (once a week) focusing on friendships and building connections.  These groups serve as an introduction to those who are new to small groups or who are uncertain about committing to a long-term group.  The group will be led through the Community study which focuses on pursuing God, community with insiders, and influence with outsiders.

Quick Connect groups will be held Thursday nights, 7-8:15pm, September 28 - November 16.  Registration will close as soon as spaces are filled as seating is limited.  Child care is available.  Register HERE.  For more information, email lifegroups@burkecommunity.com.

  • Community Groups

    Current Community Groups include:

    NOVAS (Northern Virginia Seniors)
