Heart-2-Heart is a mentoring ministry promoting encouragement and connection for women at Burke Community Church. If you have a heart for God and a desire to share life experiences with other women, this ministry is for you!
Our Heart-2-Heart partners are two women paired together in which one is a few steps ahead of the other in spiritual insight and life experience. These partners grow together and develop friendships filled with open and authentic sharing, loving compassion and mutual support. Partners commit to meeting together monthly, contacting one another frequently and praying together regularly.
Qualifications for a Mentor -- A mentor should have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She has someone who has gained insight and knowledge from God's Word and from life experiences. She doesn't profess perfection or flawlessness, but being a step or two ahead of her mentee in discernment and life experience, she is able to provide godly guidance and counsel.
Qualifications for a Mentee -- A mentee may have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ or may be seeking a relationship with Him. She recognizes the insight and knowledge that someone a little further down the path of life has gained and desires to benefit from that wisdom. She has a heart that is open, teachable and eager for godly guidance and counsel.
The Heart-2-Heart program runs from September to June.
