The Bible teaches that the primary responsibility for children's spiritual growth lies with you, the parent. "And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise." Deuteronomy 6:6-7. The Next Generation ministries has identified the following foundations to encourage and support you as you disciple your children.
We encourage parents to pray with and for their children daily. By praying with them, children learn to praise and thank God for who He is, and they begin to see God as the source and authority of all decisions. Parents are also encouraged to pray for their children: for their salvation, for their relationships, for the their thoughts and decisions.
