Women’s Christmas Tea

Just an ordinary night-shift, counting sheep. Yet, not to sleep, but to dutifully, watchfully do the work of a Bethlehem shepherd. Until suddenly an angel appeared with news that would change everything. Long-awaited, since the days of the garden, this glorious “suddenly” burst into time, interrupting the long dark night of history with the birth of the light of the world. The unfolding promise of prophecy was wrapped in swaddling cloths. The bread of life was nestled in a feeding trough. The hope of humanity – all at once and once for all – was born into the world He made so that we might be made whole in Him. This is Jesus – our long-awaited “suddenly” – today and always, appearing into our darkness with news of His glory and grace.

Christmas Tea Speaker: Allison Wilks
A born and raised Alabamian, Allison is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Allison’s greatest joy is belonging to Jesus. She loves the Bible and the God who has declared His glory on every page. Allison has been a Bible teacher and Christian women’s event speaker for almost twenty years. She strives to proclaim the gospel and point people to Jesus every time she opens His Word, and every time she opens her mouth — which, according to her, is often.
