GO 2025

As the community of Christ, we the church gather together (Heb. 10:24-25) and we grow together (Eph. 4:15-16). But Christ calls us to still something more; He calls us to go together. When Jesus sent out the twelve disciples, He sent them out two-by-two, (Mark 6:7). He knew they would need to lean on one another in carrying out His mission, and He knew that the testimony of two was always stronger than one.

He instilled similar wisdom in his servant Solomon, who reminds us: “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor” (Eccl. 4:9). And indeed, “A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.” (Eccl. 4:12). Though it is too often the path we end up taking, we were never meant to be lone wolves in our calling.

Our theme for GO 2025 is centered on this simple, but powerful truth. When we go together, we go better. This year, we are going to explore what that looks like biblically and practically.

Acts 1:8 “But you (all) will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
